300 Days of Beer – Day 212

Day 212 – 11th June 2016

300BeersWe’re at Saturday again. The European Championships have started in France and, as I type, England are currently toiling against the Russians. You could say there’s been more action on the streets of Marseilles than in the stadium. But on with the beer – another from Monty’s Brewery in Montgomeryshire. ‘Golden Light’ is a beer with a difference – it is brewed with spelt, which for the uninitiated is a combination of emmer wheat and goat grass. It gives the beer a hint of nuttiness that you perhaps wouldn’t expect given the colour. Still, it is a different taste and one worth trying out. As ever, the website you need to visit is http://www.montysbrewery.co.uk
