300 Days of Beer – Day 173

Day 173 – 17th February 2016

300BeersAfter a couple of pleasant days at work and then a few evenings agonising over which writing projects to concentrate on (I still haven’t actually made a decision on that front), it’s nice to crack on with the next beer in my challenge. I’ve happily discovered that the Morrison’s supermarket has quite a good stock of real ales compared to the other big stores who have appeared to shrink their offerings over the past 6 months or so, and this evening I’m having one I bought last week. It’s from the Springhead Brewery in Nottinghamshire, and it’s ‘Roaring Meg’. A golden ale that’s been brewed since 1990, it has a nice honey flavour and goes down beautifully! For more on their offerings, why not head over to http://www.springhead.co.uk
